The problem with our prayers isn’t always that our view of God is too small. That can sometimes be true. However, most people I meet believe that God can do anything. What they don’t believe is that God will do anything for them. Its that our view of ourselves is too small. What I mean by that is that we don’t think we’re important enough for God to care about or listen to. Maybe he’ll listen to a “real spiritual person” like a pastor or one of the people in the Bible… but who am I that he would listen to me. Discovering who we are to God greatly impacts our prayer life. Come look at the gospel of John and discover how our identity impacts the power of our prayers.
